The global appeal of the industry's leading trade fair
INTERALPIN, the world's leading trade fair for alpine technologies, will be held at Messe Innsbruck from 19 to 21 April 2023. The successful premiere of the INTERALPIN Inspiration Days during INTERALPIN 2019 has prompted the decision to continue this new and innovative conference format. The second INTERALPIN Inspiration Days will therefore form part of this international leading trade fair once again. On 20 and 21 April 2023, industry experts will present a first-rate programme all about innovation, marketing, sustainability and digitalisation for setting the scene, marketing and focusing on the future on and in the mountains.
Innsbruck, 14 April 2023. The last time the cable car and Alpine technology sector came together in Innsbruck was four years ago. A long time for a business sector which is impacted by progress, change and vision like virtually no other. The new products and innovations from the key players are awaited with baited breath. “The figures show just how much the sector is looking forward to and calling for the exchanging of ideas,” says Christian Mayerhofer, Managing Director of Congress Messe Innsbruck. “INTERALPIN 2023 will build on its success story with some 650 exhibitors and the anticipated visitors”.
Global issues motivating the sector
On the second and third days of the trade fair, the programme schedule of the 2nd INTERALPIN INSPIRATION DAYS will include high-profile keynote speakers, lectures and sessions. The keynote speaker will be Eduardo Santander, Executive Director for the European Travel Commission from Brussels. “The issue of sustainability has undergone enormous developments over the last few years as a result of varying global influences”. The cable care and Alpine technology industry has been setting new standards in this sector over the last few years: this relates both to economic and social factors as well as climate and environmental protection. This year, sustainability and the associated solutions in the Alpine sector are a particular focal point. INTERALPIN will once more do justice to its status as a world-leading trade fair and we can look forward to seeing some completely new technologies and approaches,” INTERALPIN Project Manager Stefan Kleinlercher from Congress Messe Innsbruck confirms. The topics motivating the sector are also reflected in the sessions of the 2nd INTERALPIN INSPIRATION DAYS which will explore the issues of ‘Future and Prospects of Tourism’, ‘Marketing and Digitalisation’, ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Setting the Scene on the Mountain’.
INTERALPIN is the place where the industry meets
Simultaneously during INTERALPIN, numerous parallel events will take place in Innsbruck: these include the Austrian Ropeway Conference on 19 April 2023, the General Assembly and Seminar of the International Organization for Transportation by Rope (OITAF) and the meeting of the International Federation of National Associations of Passenger Transport by Rope (FIANET). On the day before the trade fair, the ‘INTERALPIN B2B Cooperation Platform’ of the Tyrol Chamber of Commerce will bring together local companies and selected winter sports operators from at least ten countries, such as China, Canada, Japan and Morocco. On the first evening of the trade fair, the ‘Snow Crystal Gala Event’ will take place at the Dogana with some 700 invited guests from the worlds of industry and business. As part of the evening, the ‘Snow Crystal for Skiing’ will be awarded by the Austrian Ski Federation for lifetime achievement.
The everlasting appeal of the industry's leading trade fair
Exhibitors and visitors from over 100 countries are expected to attend Interalpin. Many visitors combine trade fair attendance with a visit to manufacturers and ski resorts. “INTERALPIN has a huge impact: Innsbruck will be covered in flags and lots of hotels and restaurants in Innsbruck and the surrounding area are fully booked,” says Project Manager Stefan Kleinlercher. “More than ever, INTERALPIN 2023 is sending a powerful and optimistic message”.
